Guild Recruitment

So you're interested in joining The Outcast Family! You've come to the right place to start your application process. Yes, the information on this page is long, extensive, and maybe even a bore to read... but if you're serious about joining Outcast, we strongly recommend you read this page over at least a time or two before moving onto the next step(s)!
What Outcast is Not
Due to the high volume of applicants we have set forth a few deterrents to turn away confused players with what they think Outcast Order is. This both helps protect our current members sanity so they don’t have to deal with this nonsense and potentially saves you from wasting your time. The following are a few expectations you will not get by joining Outcast Order; if you believe you will get any of them, please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere:
Power Leveling
New low level recruits either just starting the game or coming from a server transfer will NOT be power leveled. It’s no ones responsibility to go out of their way to power level you so that by the time you reach a Raiding level you have no idea how to play your character.
Immediate Recognition of Skill
Your gear and your skill level in the eyes of the officer’s mean nothing upon joining. So, if you are a protection warrior, for example, with the hopes of becoming a super duper MT instantly because you claim to be super uber… feel free to look for another guild. Gear does not equal skill, and you claiming to have skill will not be enough to convince anyone.
Everyone’s undivided attention
If accepted you are going to be privy to a guild channel that is very active, and you are just one of many accounts; Many of our veteran Outcasts enjoy a certain guild chat atmosphere and would prefer if new recruits adapted to it rather then being the center of attention. This means you're not the center of attention, ever, and don't spam gear links as if you had a gear linking disorder.
Drama Free
Because of Outcast’s mature player base, there is a seldom mentioned, but strict drama free policy about us; if at anytime an issue is blown out of proportion, made a public event, or you just have flat out have a temper tantrum, you’ll find yourself guildless. Depending on the circumstances, we'll also give a heads up to our friends in other guilds. Take your game drama to the Alliance; no one here will listen to you.
Guild Bank Access
The Guild Bank follows a strict hierarchy of access; new recruits don't have access to anything in our guild bank until their probationary period is over. And even then, usage is purposely limited to ensure members can't take out and sell 4031 items the day they become full members. Also Gold withdraw is locked down at nearly all ranks to nothing, or close to nothing.
All day Raiding
We do not Raid every day and every hour of the day. While we do raid, it’s around a simple schedule and prioritized raid sign up system, and is by no means hardcore. Outcast Order is a casual guild that Raids, if you are looking for a hardcore guild, please look elsewhere. Our raiding style isn’t changing anytime soon and certainly not for you.
The Outcast Order Lifestyle
Being a member of Outcast is not about being part of a guild and seeing end game content, it’s a way of life- it’s about how our members play the game with the utmost respect for each other, and the rest of the server. While we do Raid rather often, PvP to the point of insomnia, and occasionally go on that RP fishing trip, we do so all in moderation, and most importantly, we have fun doing it. Recruitment officers look at several areas which include, but certainly not limited too to the following:
Your Attitude
We seek guild members who are polite, mature, and respectful; who know or are willing to learn proper Raid etiquette; can proudly wear their OO guild tag with honor and respect to all other members of ER; No gloating, no disrespect, no spamming, ever.
Attendance
We have no strict attendance policy for Raiding or signing in, and our member’s real life and families always come first. That being said however, we do ask that you make the effort to login regularly either in game, or on the forums if you don’t have access to the game; there’s no sense joining a guild this size if you’re just going to sit back and not take part in anything. Accounts with inactivity for a certain period of time will be removed.
Ability
We ask that our Raiders be nothing short of Legendary, to know your class inside and out, to have great knowledge of the game, but also willing to learn and expand your WoW horizons. If you're unsure of yourself, we will do our best to mold you into a legendary Raider.
Account Policy
Outcast Order recruits on an account basis, not on a character basis. Meaning what exactly?
Multi-user Accounts
Under no circumstances is more then one user allowed to play under one account. We're recruiting the account, and we want ONE user on that account, since not only is it against the TOS for WoW, but it's also a security risk on the account, and makes the officers go nuts. If a double user account slips by and is discovered after recruitment, your main and all corresponding alts will be removed from the guild for breaking policy.
Passing Ownership
If you choose to give your account to another family member, or friend, etc, you are expected to notify officers before hand, and remove your characters from the guild. The new owner of the account is required to reapply, as it was YOU we recruited, not the new owner.
Account infractions are very serious as they not only bug the -censored- out of OO Officers, but most are against the WoW ToS- Don't break the rules or you might not only be dealing with our scorn, but that of a GM.
I'm ready to be an Outcast
If you have read the above, and are still interested in joining Outcast Order, then it’s time to begin the recruitment process. Follow these next steps carefully; If you're unsure at anytime during the application process, feel free to contact any senior ranked guild member (Vagabond or higher) for information!
Recruitment Process
Follow these steps in order to ensure your application will be considered.
Step 1: Read The Charter, look over the Structure
You are required to read the Guild Charter, NOT glance over it. Very quickly we can tell if a person has not read the charter and it’s easily one of the worst things to come to surface on your application. The Charter contains a pile of information regarding how the guild operates and what is expected of you; there is no reason why a serious applicant would not want to read it. Pay particular attention to the section of the charter on Guild Ranks and also take a look at the roster, while not as informative; it will give you a quick overview of ranks and the people who fill them with their responsibilities. Also, if you first read the charter... then glance over the Guild Ranks... there's a very good chance some areas of the charter will make more sense to you, and you will not incorrectly answer some application questions.
Finished reading? Good, time to move onto Step 2.
Step 2: Posting your Application
It's finally time to post your application. First you will need to create an account on our forums.
Once you are logged into the forums proceed to our application system.
Here are some helpful guidelines:
- Use your characters name when applying for an account on our forums. For instance, if I was to post I would not use "Super_Shav_Man_PIMP21398" as my name...although I've certainly thought of doing so, but DON'T!.
- Are you interested in Raiding or Rated Battlegrounds? See our current recruitment thread for the classes and specs we are looking for.
Step 3: Revisit your Application
Come back in a day or two to check the status of your application and make sure to respond to any questions that have been posted in your application.
